The Lord's Gathering Church
At The Lord's Gathering, everyone is welcome! We are an independent charismatic church in the Anglican Catholic tradition. To read about what we believe "click" Here. Our Communion is open to all Christians. There is no typical attire for our services. Some people are more comfortable in casual attire. Others are more comfortable with formal attire. Whatever your attire preference, you are welcome. Our prayer for each person who visits us is they will experience the love and presence of God.
Our Vision
- To continue the ministry of Jesus as He described it in Luke 4:18-19:
"The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the good news to the poor.
He has sent Me to announce release (pardon, forgiveness) to the captives, and recovery of sight to the blind,
to set free those who are oppressed (downtrodden, bruised, crushed by tragedy),
to proclaim the favorable year of the Lord [the day when salvation and the favor of God abound greatly]." - To win souls through preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ and through personal witness
- To disciple Believers through teaching Biblical principles for Christian living
- To provide the Sacraments to those who, for whatever reason, no longer have access to them
- To seek and promote unity in the Body of Christ
What To Expect
We have written this “What to Expect” section to help newcomers know what they can expect to see and experience when they make their first visit with us. During our worship service, we are always open to the guidance and ministry of the Holy Spirit. Our worship service typically begins with a greeting and a prayer, followed by:
- Songs of praise and worship
- Sermon
- Prayer ministry for those in need of salvation, healing, and other needs
- Holy Communion
- Blessing and dismissal
We celebrate Holy Communion, also referred to as the Eucharist, every Sunday. We serve Communion under both kinds (the Body and the Blood). Our method for serving Communion is by intinction, where the communicant receives the host in their hand and, if they chose, they may dip the Host into the Cup before consuming the intincted Host. Our Communion is open to all Christians.
After Holy Communion, please join us for a cup of coffee. Be sure to make yourself known to the Pastor. He would love to meet you personally.
